Vauxhall Astra 1.7 CDTI SXI

Oh Yes! Today I picked up my new car! (photo's will soon be available)

Driving to work today took forever. Being in my little pink Corsa that can only go a little over 60mph and it was raining. You know when it rains?... and people drive 20-30 miles slower than usual.. how annoying!

I waited all day for the guy (Nigel) to ring me letting me know that the new car has arrived and it will be waiting for me when I get there at 18:00pm. I had to phone the car dealership in the end as no one had rang me yet. Nigel hit me with the news; "The car has
not yet arrived!" GUTTED!! He then said he would ring me at 16:00pm to let me know if it had turned up. The time dragged.

Nigel rang me at 16:15pm letting me know that the car still had not arrived but to come to the dealership anyway to finish off the last of the paper work.

The drive home was also a long one. I got to the dealership and parked in the customers parking area. I emptied my car in the hope that the new car was there and as I turned to walk into the garage there she was "Black Betty". I recognised the reg number from the insurance documents I received yesturday.
GET IN!!

Playing Catch Up

I would just like to say "Thank You" to a new friend I have made over the past 6 months. His name is Paul Michael Smith.
I have been working with him over the last 6-7 months and he has been a BIG inspiration to me and a few other members of the Internet Team at CDL.

I want to say Thank You to him for reminding me why I became a Web Designer, with all of that new technology out there waiting to be played with.

While working at CDL I haven't had the opportunity or time to keep up to date with the latest design, technologies and web applications that are out there. But I have since been inspired to do so, even if its only for 1 hour when I get home.

Now I shall be playing catch up to find out about all the new stuff and rekindle the passion I had with Photoshop..
Cheers peep! I am grateful.. ;)

Our 1st Loaf

The 1st loaf was made at the weekend using our new bread maker. We decided on a Granary loaf at 2lbs.

Using the recipe manual, all of the mixture was put in the bread pan in the correct order and the bread pan was set in place. We then went on the select the type of loaf we wanted and finally selected the browning of the loaf: Medium.

4 hours later, the house was filled with the smell of fresh bread! We rushed to the kitchen to check out what we had created actually worked. It looked promising through the window on the top. The loaf was hot; we struggled to get it out. After pulling and twisting the loaf came out of the baking tin. It had the kneading handles embedded in the bottom of the loaf.

Still warm, we cut a slice each, covered it with butter and tasted. A little too much sugar but it tasted fantastic!
