Easter Holiday
FRIDAY:
We are in the middle of some structural changes to the house. Andy and I proceeded to knock down the wall in between the washroom and the flat bathroom. It came down successfully and the ceiling is still in tack. We had long talks about what is happening with this room and have decided that it's going to be a large bathroom/washroom.
Andy wants a wet room with glass walls as the shower and also wants a shoot to put the washing into from the room above, which is currently our kitchen but is going to turn into a walk-in wardrobe. It's all very complicated but very exciting..
The next step is the knock down the plaster from the bathroom and block up a door so the whole room can be re-plastered. A new door is going to be made in the flat bedroom which will lead into the hall and this is how you are going to enter the bedroom and en suite bathroom/washroom. We shall be knocking the plaster off next weekend as well as remove the architrave from all the doors that are going to be blocked up. Dust everywhere, again!
SATURDAY:
We went in search for the new shower for the new and going to be improved bathroom and came home with lots of catalogues to look through.
SUNDAY:
We knocked down the paneling from underneath the stairs. Because we have recently had new windows done and there is one underneath the stairs, it seemed silly to leave up the paneling when the hall can get more light from that window. Also, since we are moving the kitchen downstairs we can now use the space for coats and shoes. It just needs to be re-decorated.
MONDAY:
The new compost bin has arrived, (actually arrived on Wednesday). Thanks again to Robin who ordered it for me from the www.recyclenow.com site. This offer was not available in my area at the time. We have put it in between the fruit trees as this was the only space for it to go. I now have a little pedal bin that I keep on top of the kitchen counter to put all my kitchen waste in too. We are going green crazy!
